Dr. Mikels grew up in Monticello, IN within Carroll County. She graduated as the salutatorian of Delphi Community High School in 2009. After high school, she majored in Biology-Chemistry and graduated summa cum laude from Saint Joseph’s College in 2013. She then moved to Columbus, OH to attend optometry school at Ohio State University. In 2017 she received her cum laude Doctor of Optometry degree and moved back to Indiana. Dr. Mikels then joined our practice in June 2017. She lives in White County with her husband and three dogs. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family and traveling.
Dr. Armstrong has been a Hoosier all of his life. He graduated from Hebron High School in Porter County, and the Indiana University School of Optometry in 1976. Randy had a practice in Carroll County from 1982 until 1995. He has had an office in White County since 1989. The practice originally was started by Dr. George Bastion, and Dr. Armstrong acquired the practice from Dr. Jay Pass in 1989. Dr. Armstrong lives at Breezy Point, on Lake Freeman. He enjoys reading and having a mocha latte on his patio, as he watches the boats go by.
